We started out as a partnership, incorporated into a mid-sized architectural/engineering firm during the 70s, then intentionally downsized again to become a smaller, architecture-only practice in the mid-80s. Our evolution as a firm was concurrent with the growth of continuing care retirement communities and by the 90s we had found our natural niche in master planning and designing these facilities for all levels of care and all of their related components. 

Non-profit and repeat clients dominate our portfolio and aging demographics suggest that our particular expertise will fill a market need for many years to come. Our passion is to bring a quality of living to all ages. Brown Calabretta designs housing projects of all sizes and types and is experienced with a variety of commercial projects, including expansion/renovation and hospitality. We have a single office in Central Ohio as our headquarters, but our work has taken us into multiple states in the past with Ohio, Western Pennsylvania, and Indiana as our primary focus recently.
